SHOWS / JX&C / PURPLE HAZE?!

Hey all! Things are really moving around here. The Grains have been playing some amazing shows, The Adrenalin O.D. 45s on deep purple colored vinyl are just about out of stock, and We are making preparations for the Johnny X LP as you read this.

If you haven’t made it out to see The Grains yet, do yourself a favor and watch for our tweets about their upcoming shows. It’s totally worth it.

If you haven’t grabbed one of the limited “purple haze” A.O.D. Let’s Barbeque 45s yet, don’t hesitate! There are actually some left still because for whatever reason everyone decided to buy up the “deep purple” colored ones [limited to 400] instead of trying to snag one of the rarer [100 copies] “purple haze” version. GOODBYE 2011, WELCOME 2012

The Grains LP Stone Street is out and available. There are still some of the limited green splatter vinyl versions available. If you haven’t had a chance to check them out yet, they have a show with RSO and Sweet Tooth Nelson on Sunday, January 15th in Williamsburg Brooklyn at Legion Bar. The Johnny X and the Conspiracy LP will be the first Psychic Volt release for 2012. We have really great plans for this record and hope you are looking forward to the release as much as we are. Stay tuned for updates as they arise. [MORE]

Things are moving along…

The Grains LP is coming along smoothly. The record will include a drop card for digital download and the covers will be hand-screened on heavy cardboard. Stay tuned for more details.

Mike Cavallaro formerly a.k.a “Johnny X” once played guitar in the NJ punk rockers Sticks and Stones, had ties with the infamous Bouncing Souls, and eventually went on to expand on his drawing skills. He’s done storyboard, ink, and color for an impressive roster of comic book related companies and continues to stay busy with his art today. He wrote a nice piece on one of his punk bands, Johnny X and The Conspiracy (coming soon as an LP on Psychic Volt – Check out the art he did for his own album cover). Read it HERE

Psychic Volt has arrived! (Again!)

At last! The new site is here. There are a bunch of projects we are currently working on, some old, some new. We are really excited about the reissue of Adrenalin O.D.’s first 45 , and we anxious to get the Lps by The Grains and Johnny X out to you as fast as we can. Test pressings for The Grains record are here which means production will begin shortly.
